About Flip 7

What this is

Flip 7 (this site, flip7cards.com) is a free, browser-based version of the press-your-luck card game of the same name. It runs entirely in your browser — no download, no install, no account required to start playing. It's the sort of game you pick up in thirty seconds and then find yourself playing "just one more round" of for twenty minutes.

It was built by le giraffe as a personal project, purely out of enjoyment of the original game. This is not an official product, and it isn't trying to be — it's a fan implementation made so that anyone can play a quick round online, solo or with friends, from any device.

Why it exists

The original Flip 7 is one of those deceptively simple games where every turn is a real decision. It doesn't need a full table, a long setup, or a rules refresher — just the nerve to take one more card. I wanted a version I could open in a browser and share with a link, that captured that same tension, and that worked just as well against the computer at midnight as it did with friends on a call. So I built one.

What makes this version worth playing

• AI opponents with personality — the computer players don't all play the same. Some push their luck recklessly and bust often; others bank early and safe. Reading them is part of the fun.
• Real-time multiplayer — create a private room, share a six-character code or link, and play live with up to eight people, all dealt from one shared, server-authoritative deck.
• Stats & a Hall of Fame — sign in with Google (optional) to save your wins, daily streaks, and achievements, and to see how you stack up against everyone else.
• Genuinely free and instant — it loads fast, works offline as an installable app, and never gets in the way of just playing.

Alongside the game, this site includes proper guides — how to play, a full card guide, the odds and probability behind every decision, a strategy guide, common mistakes to avoid, and a glossary — because a game is more fun when you actually understand it.

The concept, name, and rules belong to their respective owners; this is an independent, non-commercial fan tribute.
